This has to be one of the best performance DVDs I have seen. It is high quality footage put together with professional editing to produce a very enjoyable DVD. Although Aziza is American, she dances with a beautiful Egyptian style that is reminiscent of Fifi Abdo. Her face is very expressive and she has a wonderful sense of humour which makes you warm to her instantly. She wears several colourful and elegant costumes during the DVD which, although they are mostly Turkish, suit her and her dancing perfectly. The set is simple yet effective with carpets on the floor to set the scene. The choice of music is excellent, consisting of many of the best classical Egyptian pieces such as Alf Leyla Wa Leyla, Oolooloo and Zeina. The only possible downside is that there is limited use of props in her performances, apart from one dance with a veil. The use of different props could have given the performances more variation, but personally I was too busy enjoying her dancing to get bored. In Summary, I love it! It is one of my most watched DVDs and I recommend it to any lover of Egyptian dance. |
